Tatiana Tam, Alumni Sec
Hi my name is Tatiana and I am a 3rd year NPB major. I pledged exactly one year ago during Serrano term. I really really like winter sports. I like them so much I fan girl about the Winter Olympics which will be taking place NEXT YEAR!!! SO EXCITED!! If I could go snowboarding every week I would totally go but I don’t have anyone to go with and I don’t trust myself to drive there. =[ When the weather is nice in Davis and it’s not windy I like to go out and throw around a frisbee, and if I can find enough people to have a game of Ultimate Frisbee. The number one thing on my college bucket list would be to get on the IM Wall of Fame in Ultimate but all my friends are short Asians. Sigh… I decided to stay in APO because I started to feel a sense of belonging. It’s like I found my home. When I was in high school I had sense of belonging in flag team, and ever since coming to college I was club hopping from DRD to Lion Dance, to Rotaract, but I never found what I was looking for. And then for some crazy reason I decided to pledge APO even though I thought all fraternities were dumb, and gradually it won me over. Now I’m Alumni Secretary. I never thought I would hold a position in any club. I used to be the person who was just another member sitting in the back and letting everyone else do their thing. APO creates a very positive environment that is encouraging, and I think that helped me have the courage to step up. GO APO!!
